This work is on traditional cotton as in a thangka. I painted straight onto the cotton. I wanted to work with traditional material as the base. It's kind of like my own story - my training was also in traditional style and contemporary elements added on top of it later. It's much more work to prepare these traditional cotton paintings but they will last much longer than if they were done on paper.
