As the final installment of Heman Chong‘s three-part exhibition The Part in the Story Where We Lost Count of the Days, Heman Chong is inviting people to the Reading Room, Bangkok, to participate in a work titled A Short Story About Saturdays. For 52 Saturdays, between 7 September 2013 to 7 September 2014, guests are asked to memorise, in either Thai or English, a short 500-word story written by Chong. The performance ends only when the guest can retell the story word for word to the instructor.

To book a slot on any Saturday for the upcoming year, email kyo@readingroombkk.org. There are three slots every Saturday and they are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

To coincide with A Short Story About Saturdays, Chong will also stage a performance titled Simultaneous over 7-8 September, which involes the live translation of an entire novel from Thai to English.
